"Myth insists that in each of us a great kingdom presides: filled with forests, remote castles, giants, witches, lovers, the dreams of the earth itself. To hear a story well told was to bear witness to the wily tale of your own life meeting the bigger epic that those before you had walked. Such speech was a way you tasted your ancestors. We don’t have such stories: such stories have us.” ~Martin Shaw

Join writer, eco-theologian, and wild soul guide Mary DeJong for a weekend retreat that will hold sacred space, spiritual practice, and soulful stories to reclaim and restore our sense of wholeness and interconnection with the sacred, wild world. You will be welcomed with a spacious and inspirational beach-front home on the Saratoga Shores of Camano Island, a large island situated west across the Camano Gateway Bridge in the Salish Sea.

With high vaulted ceilings and circular seating around its prominent wood-burning fireplace, this Pacific Northwest architecture home is located on welcoming and wild shores, and faces west, overlooking large expanses of the Saratoga Passage. Beach front property allows for easy and welcoming access to the shore, where sea treasures await! Seals, sea lions, and whales are often seen from this beach; and eagles and hawks roost in the surrounding evergreen tree canopy.

This immersive Rewilding Retreat will go deep into the mythopoetic realm of the Westward Autumn Quadrant of the Rewilding Wheel circuit. This powerful women’s-only weekend retreat will create the context wherein we will learn together from the archetypes within the Celtic Selkie much and its potential form and meaning for the woman’s journey towards authentic be-ing and belonging.
