Peace Day for Women: Divine Reading at the Wild Edges-Contemplating Creation as Sacred Text

  • Peace and Spirituality Center 1663 Killarney Way Bellevue, WA, 98004 United States (map)

“This earth we are riding keeps trying to tell us something with its continuous scripture of leaves.” -William Stafford

Come spend a day of reflection and retreat at the Peace and Spirituality Center, a lovely set-apart place that shares space with a magnificent second growth forest and the lapping edges of Lake Washington. Here we will engage in a liturgical rhythm that will invite a deep remembrance that the community of creation was God’s first sacred text, that within the natural world we can participate in a holy reading that profoundly connects us to ourselves, the more-than-human world, and the Divine. Come away for a few hours to sink into the scripture of creation!

The Peace Days for Women is a gathering that has convened for over 30 years ate the Peace and Spirituality Center. Hosted by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, these monthly day retreats offer a new and interesting topic about which to learn, reflect, and integrate. All are welcome to join!
